Help! is the fifth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles and the soundtrack to their film of the same name. It was released on 6 August 1965. Seven of the fourteen songs, including the singles "Help!" and "Ticket to Ride", appeared in the film and take up the first side of the vinyl album. The second side includes "Yesterday", the most-covered song ever written. The album was met with favourable critical reviews and topped the Australian, German, UK and US charts.
During the recording sessions for the album, the Beatles continued to explore the studio's multitracking capabilities to layer their sound. "Yesterday" features a string quartet, the band's first use of Baroque sensibilities, and "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away"
includes a flute section. The North American release is a true
soundtrack album, combining the first seven songs with instrumental
music from the film. The omitted tracks are instead spread across the Capitol Records LPs Beatles VI, Rubber Soul and Yesterday and Today.

Em dezembro de 2005 Brian foi homenageado com um CBE Commander,
da Ordem do Império Britânico, por Sua Majestade a Rainha, em
reconhecimento dos seus serviços para a música e obras de caridade. Após
isso, concluiu o seu doutoramento em Astrofísica no Imperial College em 2007 e e foi chanceler da Liverpool John Moores University entre 2008 e 2013. É também defensor ativo dos direitos dos animais.

elegeu Brian como o sétimo melhor guitarrista de todos os tempos.
Também foi considerado o 26º melhor guitarrista de todos os tempos,

Christine Anne McVie, néePerfect
(Greenodd, 12 July 1943 – London, 30 November 2022) was an English musician, singer and
songwriter. She was best known as keyboardist and one of the vocalists
of Fleetwood Mac.
McVie was a member of several bands, notably Chicken Shack, in the mid-1960s British Blues scene. She began working with Fleetwood Mac in 1968, initially as a session player, before joining the band in 1970. Her first compositions with Fleetwood Mac appeared on their fifth album, Future Games. She remained with the band through many changes of line-up, writing songs and performing lead vocals
before partially retiring in 1998. McVie was described as "the prime
mover behind some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits" and eight songs she
wrote or co-wrote, including "Don't Stop", "Everywhere" and "Little Lies", appeared on Fleetwood Mac's 1988 Greatest Hits album. She appeared as a session musician on the band's last studio album, Say You Will. She also released three solo studio albums.
As a member of Fleetwood Mac, McVie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 1998 received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
In the same year, after almost 30 years with Fleetwood Mac, she left
the band and lived in semi-retirement, releasing a solo album in 2004.
She appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac at the O2 Arena in London in September 2013 and rejoined the band in 2014 prior to their On with the Show tour.
McVie married John McVie in 1968, with Peter Green as best man. Instead of a honeymoon, they celebrated at a hotel in Birmingham with Joe Cocker, who happened to be staying there,
before going on the road with their own bands. The couple divorced in
1976, but remained friends and maintained a professional partnership. During the production of Rumours, Christine had an affair with Fleetwood Mac's lighting engineer, Curry Grant, which inspired the song "You Make Loving Fun". From 1979 to 1982, she dated Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys.
McVie married Portuguese keyboardist and songwriter Eddy Quintela on 18
October 1986. Quintela and McVie collaborated on a number of songs
together, including "Little Lies". They divorced in 2003, and Quintela died in 2020.
During the height of Fleetwood Mac's success in the 1970s, McVie
resided in Los Angeles in a house that had previously been owned by Joan Collins and by Elton John. In 1990, she moved to a Grade II-listed Tudor manor house in Wickhambreaux, near Canterbury
in Kent, to which she retired after leaving Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and
worked on her solo material. For years McVie found inspiration in the
home's country setting, not only writing songs there, but also restoring
the house. After rejoining Fleetwood Mac in 2014, she began spending
more time in London, and put the house on the market in 2015.

McVie died in hospital on 30 November 2022, at the age of 79.
Her death was announced by her family through social media. In a
statement following her death, Fleetwood Mac said that she was "the best
musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone
could have in their life". Fellow band member Stevie Nicks said McVie
had been her "best friend in the whole world". According to her death certificate revealed in April 2023, McVie died of a stroke and suffered from metastatic cancer of unknown primary origin.
Ringo é conhecido pelo seu estilo seguro de tocar e pelos seus toques
de originalidade. O nome Ringo surgiu por causa dos anéis que Ringo
gostava de usar (ring quer dizer anel em inglês). Ele também é vegetariano, assim como outro integrante dos Beatles, Paul McCartney. Em 2011, Starr foi eleito o 4º maior baterista de todos os tempos pela revista Rolling Stone.
Após a dissolução dos Beatles, em 1970, Starr lançou-se numa carreira a solo cheia de sucessos, e formou uma banda, a All Starr Band, ativa desde 1989.
Tinha 17 anos quando veio para Lisboa estudar medicina na Universidade de Lisboa. Considera que o meio musical no continente era muito mais retrógrado do que o que da ilha.
Trabalhou na Rádio Comercial onde foi realizador radiofónico de programas como "Rock Em Stock", de Luís Filipe Barros, ou "Mão na Música".
Depois do fim, não concretizado definitivamente, da Sétima Legião, em 1995, falou-se do seu projeto Condor, com Amândio Bastos, que não chegou a estrear-se em disco.
Passou por vários hospitais, como o IPO, na unidade de transplantes de medula, na oncologia pediátrica. Depois entrou para o Hospital Egas Moniz onde se dedicou à investigação da SIDA.
Morreu a 4 de julho de 2018. Estava internado na Bélgica e sofria de cancro do pulmão.

partir do momento em que comecei a especializar-me, acabei por me
entusiasmar imenso e hoje representa uma parte importante da minha
vida."
Casou-se, em 1981, com o advogado Lawrence Kruteck, vinte anos mais
velho que ela. Pouco depois de ter sido diagnosticado um cancro do
cólon ao seu marido, retirou-se temporariamente da cena musical, em
1994, para o acompanhar nos tratamentos, até à morte do seu
companheiro, a 15 de junho de 1996.
Ficou mundialmente famosa devido a grandes hits músicais como
"Gloria", "Solitaire", "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You", "Self
Control", "Ti Amo", "Spanish Eddie", "I Found Someone", "Power of
Love", "Shattered Glass", "Never In A Million Years" e "Over You".
Entrou na carreira artística em 2000 e nos anos seguintes já conquistou o disco de platina pelos álbunsThe Spirit Room e Hotel Paper. Em 2004 formou a banda The Wreckers com a sua parceira musical Jessica Harp.
Na sua carreira a solo, teve muitos sucessos conhecidos mundialmente
como "Goodbye To You", (que muitas vezes cantou com a parceria de Avril Lavigne) no seu primeiro CD Broken Bracelet (esta canção
foi regravada mais tarde no seu segundo CD); "Everywhere", (que
inclusive fez parte da banda sonora de várias séries norte-americanas) e
"All you Wanted", no seu segundo CD, The Spirit Room; "Are You Happy Now?", "Breathe" e "Empty Handed" no seu terceiro CD, Hotel Paper, além de muitos outros sucessos. Também chamou atenção no Brasil, em parcerias feitas com o guitarrista Carlos Santana em "The Game of Love" e "I'm Feeling You", aonde já cantava com Jessica Harp nos coros. Fez uma parceria numa música dos Hanson chamada Deeper, onde canta ao lado de Isaac Hanson.
Colin Hay é um músico escocês, mas conhecido como australiano, já que, desde a adolescência, mora na Austrália.
O seu nome de batismo é Colin James Hay e nasceu a 29 de junho de 1953, em Saltcoats, uma localidade da Escócia.
A sua família mudou-se para a Austrália quando tinha 14 anos.
Nessa época, Colin começou a interessar-se em tocar guitarra e cantar.
Em 1979, juntamente com Ron Strykert (guitarra), Greg Ham (sax, flauta, teclado e harmónica), John Rees (baixo) e Jerry Speiser (bateria), formaram os Men at Work, que se tornou um sucesso e um ícone do surf-rock.
Colin Hay esteve à frente da banda como vocalista, guitarrista e principal compositor até metade dos anos 80, quando a banda se desfez. Depois, seguiu uma carreira a solo.
