O Curso de Geologia de 85/90 da Universidade de Coimbra escolheu o nome de Geopedrados quando participou na Queima das Fitas.

Nascido em Chicago, Butterfild começou a tocar ainda adolescente, logo formando uma banda com Jerome Arnold e Sam Lay. A banda The Paul Butterfield Blues Band assinou contrato com a Elektra Records depois de entrar o guitarrista Michael Bloomfield. O seu álbum homónimo foi lançado em 1965. Depois de várias mudanças na formação e no estilo musical da banda, Paul iniciou uma carreira a solo nos anos 70.
Joe Williams, born Joseph Goreed (Cordele, Georgia, December 12, 1918 – Las Vegas, Nevada, March 29, 1999), was a well-known jazz vocalist, a baritone singing a mixture of blues, ballads, popular songs, and jazz standards.
Ike Turner (Clarksdale, 5 de novembro de 1931 - San Marcos, 12 de dezembro de 2007) foi um músicoinstrumentista, cantor, compositor e produtor musicalnorte-americano. Foi o primeiro a gravar a música "Rocket 88" como Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats, (na verdade Ike Turner & The Kings of Rhythm - Jackie Brenston, que oficialmente canta nessa gravação, era saxofonista dessa banda) em 1951, e que é considerada a "primeira canção de rock and roll". A música foi regravada por Bill Haley e a introdução de piano executada por Ike serviu de inspiração para Little Richard, em Good Golly Miss Molly. Rocket 88 é umas das primeiras músicas a usar distorção ou guitarra fuzz, causada por um acidente no estúdio. Ao longo das décadas de 1960 e 1970, Ike formou, com a sua mulher, Tina Turner, a dupla Ike & Tina Turner, cujas apresentações, ao lado da sua banda, notabilizaram-se pela energia e criatividade, com uma mistura de soul, rock, rhythm and blues
e outros estilos. Foi abandonado pela sua mulher, Tina Turner, devido
às agressões físicas de Ike a Tina e pelo abuso de drogas, a
principal causa da queda da carreira de Ike.

Turner morreu em 12 de dezembro de 2007, aos 76 anos de idade, em sua casa em San Marcos, Califórnia, perto de San Diego. Ele foi encontrado por sua ex-esposa Ann Thomas. Little Richard foi convidado pela família para falar no funeral. Em 16 de janeiro de 2008, foi comunicado pelo Gabinete Médico do Condado de San Diego que Turner morreu de overdose de cocaína.
"A causa da morte de Ike Turner é a toxicidade da cocaína associada com outros
aspetos importantes, tais como a doença cardiovascular - hipertensão - e
enfisema pulmonar," disse o investigador Paul Parker à CNN. Logo após o funeral, o corpo de Ike Turner foi cremado.
Em 1999, foi-lhe diagnosticada hepatite C e vinha a enfrentar problemas de saúde desde então, tendo passado por um transplante de fígado em 2010. Morreu a 27 de maio de 2017, aos 69 anos, em sua casa em Savannah, Geórgia, devido a complicações causadas por um cancro no fígado.
Thomas Alan Waits (Pomona, 7 de dezembro de 1949) é um músico, instrumentista, compositor, cantor e atornorte-americano.
A sua voz, grossa e rouca, e as suas letras, por vezes estranhas e
intrigantes, marcam a sua música. Ativo há mais de quatro décadas,
Waits possui uma considerável obra, constituída de quase 30 álbuns
(incluindo álbuns de estúdio,
compilações e álbuns ao vivo), e mais de 50 participações diretas
(como ator) e indiretas (compondo bandas sonoras) em filmes. Já foi
nomeado para um grande número de prémios musicais, tendo ganhado o Grammy com dois álbuns: Mule Variations e Bone Machine.
Christine Anne McVie, néePerfect
(Greenodd, 12 July 1943 – London, 30 November 2022) was an English musician, singer and
songwriter. She was best known as keyboardist and one of the vocalists
of Fleetwood Mac.
McVie was a member of several bands, notably Chicken Shack, in the mid-1960s British Blues scene. She began working with Fleetwood Mac in 1968, initially as a session player, before joining the band in 1970. Her first compositions with Fleetwood Mac appeared on their fifth album, Future Games. She remained with the band through many changes of line-up, writing songs and performing lead vocals
before partially retiring in 1998. McVie was described as "the prime
mover behind some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits" and eight songs she
wrote or co-wrote, including "Don't Stop", "Everywhere" and "Little Lies", appeared on Fleetwood Mac's 1988 Greatest Hits album. She appeared as a session musician on the band's last studio album, Say You Will. She also released three solo studio albums.
As a member of Fleetwood Mac, McVie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 1998 received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
In the same year, after almost 30 years with Fleetwood Mac, she left
the band and lived in semi-retirement, releasing a solo album in 2004.
She appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac at the O2 Arena in London in September 2013 and rejoined the band in 2014 prior to their On with the Show tour.
McVie married John McVie in 1968, with Peter Green as best man. Instead of a honeymoon, they celebrated at a hotel in Birmingham with Joe Cocker, who happened to be staying there,
before going on the road with their own bands. The couple divorced in
1976, but remained friends and maintained a professional partnership. During the production of Rumours, Christine had an affair with Fleetwood Mac's lighting engineer, Curry Grant, which inspired the song "You Make Loving Fun". From 1979 to 1982, she dated Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys.
McVie married Portuguese keyboardist and songwriter Eddy Quintela on 18
October 1986. Quintela and McVie collaborated on a number of songs
together, including "Little Lies". They divorced in 2003, and Quintela died in 2020.
During the height of Fleetwood Mac's success in the 1970s, McVie
resided in Los Angeles in a house that had previously been owned by Joan Collins and by Elton John. In 1990, she moved to a Grade II-listed Tudor manor house in Wickhambreaux, near Canterbury
in Kent, to which she retired after leaving Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and
worked on her solo material. For years McVie found inspiration in the
home's country setting, not only writing songs there, but also restoring
the house. After rejoining Fleetwood Mac in 2014, she began spending
more time in London, and put the house on the market in 2015.

McVie died in hospital on 30 November 2022, at the age of 79.
Her death was announced by her family through social media. In a
statement following her death, Fleetwood Mac said that she was "the best
musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone
could have in their life". Fellow band member Stevie Nicks said McVie
had been her "best friend in the whole world". According to her death certificate revealed in April 2023, McVie died of a stroke and suffered from metastatic cancer of unknown primary origin.
Jimi Hendrix morreu em Londres nas primeiras horas do dia 18 de setembro de 1970,
em circunstâncias que nunca foram completamente explicadas. Jimi havia
passado parte da noite anterior numa festa, de onde seguiu, juntamente
com a sua namorada, Monika Dannemann, para o Hotel Samarkand, em Notting Hill. Estimativas indicam que ele teria morrido pouco tempo depois.
Dannemann alegou no seu depoimento original que Hendrix teria tomado,
sem que ela soubesse, na noite anterior, nove comprimidos de um remédio
para dormir que ela utilizava. De acordo com o médico que o atendeu
inicialmente, Hendrix tinha-se asfixiado (literalmente afogado) no seu próprio vómito, composto principalmente de vinho tinto. Por anos Dannemann alegou publicamente que Hendrix ainda estava vivo quando o colocaram na ambulância;
os seus comentários sobre aquela manhã, no entanto, foram
frequentemente contraditórios, e variaram de entrevista para
entrevista. Declarações dos polícias e paramédicos revelaram que não havia
ninguém além de Hendrix no apartamento, e que não apenas ele estava
morto quando chegaram ao local, mas também que estava totalmente vestido e que
já estava morto há algum tempo.
Albert Gene Collins, known as Albert Collins and the Ice Breakers (Leona, Texas, October 1, 1932 – Las Vegas, Nevada, November 24, 1993), was an American electric blues guitarist and singer with a distinctive guitar style. He was noted for his powerful playing and his use of altered tunings and a capo. His long association with the Fender Telecaster led to the title "The Master of the Telecaster".

In his early days, Collins worked as a paint mixer and truck driver to make ends meet.
In 1971, when he was 39 years old, he worked in construction, since he
could not make a proper living from his music. One of his construction
jobs was a remodeling project for Neil Diamond. He continued with this type of work until the late 1970s, when his wife, Gwen, talked him into returning to a career in music.
After a three-month battle with cancer, Collins died at his home
in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 24, 1993. He was 61 years old.
Surviving him were his wife, Gwendolyn, and his father, Andy Thomas.
