Colin Hay, dos Men at Work, faz hoje 59 anos

Colin Hay é um músico escocês, mas reconhecido como australiano, já que desde a adolescência que vive na Austrália.

Seu nome completo é Colin James Hay, e ele nasceu em 29 de junho de 1953 em Saltcoats, uma localidade da Escócia. A família foi para a Austrália quando ele tinha 14 anos. Nessa época, Colin começou a interessar-se por guitarras e em cantar. Em 1978, juntamente com Ron Strykert (guitarra), Greg Ham (sax, flauta, teclado e gaita), John Rees (baixo) e Jerry Speiser (bateria), formaram o Men at Work, que se tornaram um sucesso e ícones de surf-rock.

Colin Hay esteve à frente da banda como vocalista, guitarrista e principal compositor até a metade dos anos 1980, quando a banda se separou. Depois, seguiu uma carreira a solo.
