Lester Chambers nasceu há 84 anos

  

Lester Chambers (Mississippi, April 13, 1940) is an American recording artist, and member and lead singer of the 1960s soul rock group The Chambers Brothers, who had the hit single, "Time Has Come Today". 

As a member of the Chambers Brothers, he sang lead on the Chambers Brothers songs "All Strung Out Over You", "People Get Ready", "Uptown", "I Can't Turn You Loose", and "Funky".

As a solo artist he released singles and albums and teamed up with ex-Electric Flag bassist Harvey Brooks to form the Lester Chambers Harvey Brooks Band. He also added vocals to Bonnie Raitt's 1977 Sweet Forgiveness album.

In March 2011, Lester Chambers was inducted into the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame.

Chambers performs with his son Dylan as The New Chambers Brothers as part of the band Moonalice which is led by Roger McNamee.

Tommy, o últimos dos Ramones, nasceu há 72 anos

   
Tommy Ramone, nome artístico de Tom Erdélyi, depois anglinizado para Thomas Erdelyi (Budapeste, 29 de janeiro de 1949 - Nova Iorque, 11 de julho de 2014) foi um produtor e baterista. Foi o último integrante original da banda Ramones a morrer. Ele era portador de estrabismo de médio grau.
Tudo começou a 30 de janeiro de 1974. No estúdio dele, apareceu um trio (futuramente os Ramones) com o Dee Dee cantando, Joey na bateria, e Johnny na guitarra. Eram uma banda horrível, mas com um ótimo gosto, segundo Tommy Ramone. O mesmo sugeriu que Joey ficava bem entre Johnny e Dee Dee, a partir de então, fizeram testes para bateristas. Após dezenas de testes, Tommy adaptou-se a um estilo de bateria inspirado nos Beatles e assumiu o cargo.
Tommy Ramone compôs importantes músicas dos Ramones, como I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend e Blitzkrieg Bop.
Em 8 de outubro de 2004 voltou a tocar com o pseudónimo Ramone no "Ramones Beat Down On Cancer"
Tommy Ramone foi integrante de uma banda de Country & Folk chamada Uncle Monk, que faz turnês americanas e europeias. Tommy tocava bandolim e concertina.
Faleceu a 11 de julho de 2014, aos 65 anos de idade, vítima de cancro do ducto colédoco.
