Lou Reed, nome artístico de Lewis Allan Reed (Brooklyn, Nova Iorque, 2 de março de 1942 - Long Island, Nova Iorque, 27 de outubro de 2013), foi um cantor, guitarrista e compositor norte-americano. Foi considerado o 81º melhor guitarrista de todos os tempos pela revista norte-americana Rolling Stone.

Em maio de 2013 passou por um transplante de fígado. Voltou a ser internado em julho, com um quadro de desidratação severa, vindo a morrer em 27 de outubro do mesmo ano. O seu corpo foi cremado.
