Nik Kershaw (born Nicholas David Kershaw, 1 March 1958, in Ipswich, Suffolk) is an English musician, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. The former jazz-funk guitarist was a 1980s teen idol. His 62 weeks on the UK Singles Chart in 1984 beat all other solo artists. Kershaw appeared at the dual-venue concert Live Aid in 1985, and has penned a number of hits for other artists, including a UK number one single in 1991 for Chesney Hawkes, "The One and Only". Kershaw is best known for the tracks "I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", "Wouldn't It Be Good" and "The Riddle". Falco (Viena, 19 de fevereiro de 1957 - Puerto Plata, 6 de fevereiro de 1998) foi o pseudónimo com que o cantor austríaco Johann (Hans) Hölzel se apresentava.

Estudou no Conservatório de Música de Viena e, antes de obter sucesso internacional, tocava baixo na banda de hard rock austríaca Drahdiwaberl. Como artista a solo, Falco interessava-se pelos sons e ritmos da música rap, tornando-se um dos primeiros na Europa a incorporar tal estilo nas músicas pop e rock. Ele é mais conhecido internacionalmente pela canção "Rock Me Amadeus" (inspirada pelo filme Amadeus) de seu álbum Falco 3, que se tornou um "hit" mundial em 1986, atingindo o número 1 na lista dos singles mais vendidos nos Estados Unidos da Revista Billboard.

Outros hits conhecidos internacionalmente incluem: "Der Kommissar", do seu álbum de 1982 Einzelhaft e "Vienna Calling", de Falco 3. Uma versão em inglês de "Der Kommissar" foi feita pela banda After the Fire, que acabou se tornando um hit ao atingir o top 5 da Revista Billboard em 1983. A canção de Falco "Jeanny" causou controvérsia ao ser lançada como um single na Alemanha, já que contava a história de um violador. Steve Perry faz hoje 74 anos

Steve Perry (nascido Stephen Ray Perry em 22 de janeiro de 1949) é um vocalista e escritor de músicas norte-americano. Perry nasceu em Hanford, Califórnia, e é mais conhecido por ter sido o vocalista da banda Journey de 1977 até 1987 e também de 1995 até 1998.

Steve, que tem ascendência portuguesa, tendo avós que vieram dos Açores (Pico), tem sido muito elogiado e aclamado por ser um compositor, cantor e "entertainer" completo, o que é muito apropriado pois ele foi o vocalista dos Journey.

Nascido e criado em Hanford, aos 18 anos, mudou-se para Los Angeles para correr atrás de seu sonho de tornar-se cantor. Steve trabalhou como engenheiro de som e tocou em várias bandas locais como "The Sullies" e " Ice and Pieces" enquanto esperava pela sua oportunidade na indústria da música.

Em 1977 uma fita demo da sua banda de blues e rock chamada "Alien Project", chegou às mãos de Herbie Herbert, que, coincidentemente, procurava por um vocalista para os Journey. Wendy James (London, 21 January 1966) is an English singer-songwriter most notable for her work with the pop band Transvision Vamp.

  

Transvision Vamp

James was adopted soon after birth, and left home at the age of sixteen, moving to the English seaside resort town of Brighton. There she met Nick Christian Sayer, who became her boyfriend and musical collaborator. Sayer and James moved to London, where they teamed up with friends Dave Parsons, Tex Axile and Pol Burton, with whom they formed the pop-punk band, Transvision Vamp. James was the lead singer and focal point of the group, and attracted media attention with her sexually charged and rebellious image.

The band was signed by MCA in December 1986 and released a cover version of the Holly and the Italians song "Tell That Girl to Shut Up" in late 1987. Months later the follow-up single "I Want Your Love", with its pop/punk crossover appeal, entered the Top 10 in the UK Singles Chart. The band went on to release the hit album Pop Art in October. 1989 was the band's most successful year, with the number 3 hit single "Baby I Don't Care" and hit album Velveteen which entered the UK Albums Chart at number one and was a hit worldwide. The next two singles, "I Want Your Love" and "Baby I Don't Care", respectively reached number five and number three in the UK singles charts.

Solo career

James announced on her MySpace blog that she had been working on an album entitled I Came Here to Blow Minds, which was recorded in Paris in 2009 and mixed in Australia later that year.^[11] Finally, a release date of 19 October 2010 (for digital release) was posted on James' official Facebook page in August 2010. One track from the album had already been made available for download on RCRD LBL. since May 2009.

James released an album, The Price of the Ticket on 19 February 2016.

In October 2019, James was touring as "The Wendy James Band" in support of the Psychedelic Furs, promoting a new album, Queen High Straight.

Biografia

Kim alcançou a fama nos inícios dos anos 80 com o seu maior sucesso "Kids in America", que atingiu o primeiro lugar no Reino Unido, e pelo qual recebeu, em 1983, o Brit Award de melhor cantora britânica. A canção teve várias versões por diversas bandas e até hoje às vezes ainda é tocada nas rádios, como ícone da música daquela década.

A sua carreira musical começou com um pop mais ligado ao punk e ao new wave. A maioria das suas canções foram composições próprias, em colaboração com o seu irmão. Nos primeiros anos da década de 80 destaca-se a sua canção "View from a Bridge", que mistura romance e intriga como uma comédia de detetives.
