Hoje é o Solstício de Inverno

Long, long Winter

it's gonna be a long long winter for me (for me)
a long long winter you'll see (you'll see)
that girl is gone from me
left my heart in misery
and it's a long long winter for me (you'll see)
now that shes gone gone gone days and nights are dreary and blue
now that shes gone gone gone the lonely memories linger here too
said that girl is gone from me
left my heart in misery
and its a long long winter for me (for me)
now that shes gone gone gone days and nights are dreary and blue
now that shes gone gone gone lonely memories linger here too
said that girl is gone from me
left my heart in misery
and its a long long winter for me (you'll see)
it's gonna be cold cold and dreary everyday (oh yea)
but i hope lord said i hope lord
she wont no want it that way oh no no no no
lord i hope that i am right
cause i cant stand these lonely nights
with this longer longer longer longer longer longer longer winter for me (you'll see)
oh shes gone days and nights dreary and blue
now that shes gone gone gone lonely memories linger here too
said that girl

Música para celebrar a chegada do Verão

Porque o Solstício de Verão é exactamente às 12.28 horas locais de Portugal Continental (11.28 dos Açores e, simultaneamente, UTC - Tempo Universal), uma música de 1970 para celebrar o momento:

Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime

Chh chh-chh, uh, chh chh-chh, uh
Chh chh-chh, uh, chh chh-chh, uh...

In the summertime when the weather is high
You can stretch right up and touch the sky
When the weather's fine
You got women, you got women on your mind
Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and see what you can find

If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal
If her daddy's poor, just do what you feel
Speed along the lane
Do a ton, or a ton and twenty-five
When the sun goes down, you can make it
Make it good in a lay-by

We're no threat, people, we're not dirty, we're not mean
We love everybody, but we do as we please
When the weather's fine
We go fishing or go swimming in the sea
We're always happy
Life's for living, yeah, that's our philosophy

Sing along with us, dee-dee-dee-dee-dee
Da-da-da-da-da, yeah, we're hap-happy
Da-da-da-da-dah....

Chh chh-chh, uh, chh chh-chh, uh
Chh chh-chh, uh, chh chh-chh, uh...

When the winter's here, yeah it's party time
Bring a bottle
Wear your bright clothes, it'll soon be summertime
And we'll sing again
We'll go drivin' or maybe we'll settle down
If she's rich, if she's nice
Bring your friends and we'll all go into town

in Poesia (1944) - Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen
